Biography

        Associate Professor Dr. Alain Jacquet obtained his PhD degree from Free University of Brussels, Belgium in 1989. He became a post-Doc researcher in the Department of Applied Genetics, Free University of Brussels, for ten years and he worked on the development of several recombinant subunit vaccines (collaboration with Glaxo SmithKline). In 1999, he became the leader of a team working on house dust mite allergy and, in 2007, the Head of Laboratory of Experimental Allergology in which he developed new forms of allergen-specific immunotherapy. In 2009, he joined the team of Professor Kiat Ruxrungtham from Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University and integrated later the Center of Excellence in Vaccine Research and Development to pursue his activity on house dust mite-specific immunotherapy. In 2021, he joined the Department of Biochemistry and continues his research on house dust mite allergy. His research interest has expanded to allergens from shrimps and edible insects
