        My research focuses on the causative factors and molecular pathogenesis of kidney stones. Our studies have found that hypocitraturia, hypokaliuria, oxidative stress, and inflammation are highly prevalent in Thai patients with kidney stones. We have also discovered that urinary citrate, a potent inhibitor of stone formation, can be elevated through potassium citrate supplementation. Consequently, we developed an innovative product derived from lime juice called the Lime Powder Regimen (LPR), which contains key substances such as citrate, potassium, flavonoids, and naturally-derived antioxidants that are beneficial in preventing kidney stone formation. Preclinical studies and a three-phase clinical trial were conducted to evaluate the safety and efficacy of LPR in reducing the risk of kidney stone formation. Importantly, our findings indicate that LPR significantly reduces oxidative stress, inflammation, and stone recurrence in kidney stone patients after 24 months (phase 3 clinical trial) without adverse effects on kidney and liver functions.
