ชีวประวัติ

        ศาสตราจารย์ นายแพทย์พิสิฐ ตั้งกิจวานิชย์ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญในสาขาโรคตับและทางเดินอาหาร เป็นหัวหน้าศูนย์เชี่ยวชาญเฉพาะทางด้านโรคตับอักเสบและมะเร็งตับ สังกัดภาควิชาชีวเคมี คณะแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ศาสตราจารย์พิสิฐจบการศึกษาแพทยศาตรบัณฑิตจากจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยในปี พ.ศ. 2531 และเข้าศึกษาต่อทางด้านโรคระบบทางเดินอาหาร และเป็นแพทย์ต่อยอดการวิจัยด้านโรคตับ สาขาวิชาทางเดินอาหาร ณ UCLA School of Medicine ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ปัจจุบันเป็นศาสตราจารย์ประจำภาควิชาชีวเคมี คณะแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย นอกจากนี้ศาตราจารย์พิสิฐ ยังดำรงตำแหน่งนายกสมาคมโรคตับแห่งประเทศไทย โดยมีเชี่ยวชาญทางด้านโรคตับ ไวรัสตับอักเสบบี ไวรัสตับอักเสบซี โรคตับแข็ง ตัวบ่งชี้การเกิดมะเร็งตับ โรคมะเร็งตับ และการตรวจวิเคราระห์จุลินทรีย์ในลำไส้ นอกจากนี้ยังมีผลงานทางวิชาการเชิงประจักษ์เป็นบทความตีพิมพ์ในวรสารทางวิชาการจำนวน 255 เรื่อง ที่มีการอ้างอิงกว่า 5,000 ครั้ง และมี h-index อยู่ที่ 37 การทำงานที่ทุ่มเทในสาขานี้ของศาสตราจารย์พิสิฐ ไม่เพียงแต่มีความรู้ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ขั้นสูงเท่านั้น แต่ยังช่วยส่งเสริมปฏิบัติทางคลินิกและผลลัพธ์ของผู้ป่วยอีกด้วย ซึ่งยังคงสร้างแรงบันดาลใจและเป็นแนวทางให้แก่นักวิจัยและแพทย์รุ่นต่อๆ ไปในด้านโรคตับและทางเดินอาหารต่อไป
